About JSON files
JSON is the data format apps and APIs speak. It’s great for programs and awkward for people.
How to convert JSON to CSV
- Drop your JSON on the box above, or click it to choose it.
- Click “→ CSV”.
- Your file downloads. MunchFiles checks that the result opens correctly before it hands it to you.
What to expect
A spreadsheet-ready table.
- Only a list of flat records converts; nested data is refused rather than guessed.
- Numbers and true/false become plain text cells.
Questions
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. MunchFiles converts files inside your web browser, on your own device. The file is never sent to a server, so nobody else can see it.
Is it free?
Yes. Basic file conversions are free, with no account and no watermark. MunchFiles Pro is an optional one-time purchase (no subscription) that keeps a copy of MunchFiles on your device, working offline, with power tools for batches, shrinking images and PDF pages.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. It works in any modern browser on a phone, tablet or computer. There is nothing to install.
Why won’t my JSON convert?
A table needs rows. The JSON must be a list of records, like [{"name": "Ada"}, {"name": "Lin"}]. A single object, or records with nested values, can be turned into a table in several valid ways, so MunchFiles tells you instead of guessing.
How big can the file be?
There’s no upload limit, because nothing is uploaded. Very large files are limited only by your device’s memory.
