Who we are
MunchFiles is developed under the Blue Lotus Laboratories brand and licensed by Kevin Hall (“we”, “us”). By using MunchFiles you agree to these terms.
Using MunchFiles
Basic file conversions on munchfiles.com are free to use, for personal or business purposes, with no account. Pro adds Batch, Shrink, PDF tools and offline use. Please don’t misuse the site, for example by attacking it, trying to disrupt it for others, or using it to break the law.
Your files
Your files remain yours. Conversions happen on your device and we don’t receive them. You’re responsible for having the right to convert the files you use, and for keeping your own copies of anything important.
MunchFiles Pro license
MunchFiles Pro is a one-time purchase (no subscription). When you buy Pro, we grant you a personal, perpetual, non-exclusive license to use the Pro features of MunchFiles:
- On any of your devices. There is no device limit.
- Without expiry. Pro doesn’t need to be renewed or re-checked online.
- Offline. Once activated, Pro keeps working without internet.
Your Pro entitlement (and its backup file, munchfiles-pro.license) is your proof of purchase. It’s for you: please don’t publish or share it with others. Pro includes the features available when you buy it; we may add or improve features over time, but we can’t promise specific future features.
If we ever stop operating munchfiles.com, an installed copy of MunchFiles that remains saved on your device is designed to keep working offline.
Software and open source
MunchFiles and its design are owned by us. It includes open-source components (pdf.js, pdf-lib and js-yaml) that remain under their own licenses, which are included with the site.
No warranty
MunchFiles checks every output before giving it to you and refuses conversions it can’t do safely, but it’s provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for MunchFiles Pro, if anything. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can’t be limited.
Refunds
See the refund policy: 14 days, no questions asked. A refund ends your Pro license.
Governing law and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA. If we change them, we’ll update this page and the date below; changes don’t take away a Pro license you’ve already bought.
